2023 Fall Meditation Retreat

Our Fall Meditation Retreat was a success! Sitting with this many people over the course of a weekend was life-changing.

Our weekend was full of formal meditation sessions for both beginners and long-time practitioners, walking meditation, Tai Chi, Chair Yoga by Frannie James Yoga, tea meditation, and some of the most delicious food for eating meditations at every meal.

During our free time deep relationships were built forming a warm community of equanimity and compassion. Because there was such a diverse group of people from many different meditation traditions, we were able to learn so much from each other, enhancing our personal practice.

Meditation groups represented were: Birmingham Shambhala Meditation Center, Cahaba River Sangha, Tuscaloosa Zen Meditation Circle, Burning Rock Soto Zen, and various yoga traditions.
